The Wind Symphony, Concordia-Chicago’s premier touring instrumental ensemble (Dr. Richard Fischer, conductor), will present their fall home concert on Friday, October 27, at 8 p.m., in the Chapel of Our Lord. Free parking and admission.
The concert program will include “Praise God, All Creatures” by Samuel Marquardt, written in celebration of Dr. Fischer’s 50th year at Concordia-Chicago, as well as “A Festival Prelude” by Alfred Reed—the first piece Dr. Fischer conducted at his first concert at Concordia on Nov. 10, 1974. Guitarist Collin Pease, a CUC student, will perform the solo piece Prelude and Allegro BWV 998 by Johann Sebastian Bach.
